My first computer was the Original Macbook, launched in 2006, model A1181.

It was a thick brick. But it was gorgeous. My parents gifted me the computer for school, and I remember the excitement while entering the store. Everybody has Macs nowadays, and definitely Apple products, but back then, it was luxury.

The model came both in Pearly White or Matte Black. I of course selected the White, matching my earlier purchase the year prior. The very first iPod Shuffle. God, I loved that thing. It was so small, so light, so minimal. I think it is the first time I actually paid attention to product design.
