Lovers in Japan

We got married in 2023, but decided to do something special with our Japanese side of the family while visiting. Here is how it went.

As a part of the celebration, we agreed on doing a photoshoot session, even though it is not exactly our thing to hold the pose.
We opted for a traditional Japanese wedding style, which was always Daiki’s desire. We were able to select the kimono’s styles and colors, and then work with the photographer on the types of backdrop and lighting.
Even though we are not religious, we also had a Shinto dress-wear, as it is the most common way of getting married in Japan.

This was a fun experience, and now we have beautiful pictures too. Our initial wedding pictures were taken on the spot by the officer with a disposable film camera, and she forgot to use the flash… so it’s more in our memories, than posterities.
